Tender study for construction projects at the 50% design stage involves estimating costs and risks based on a semi-complete design. This includes conducting a Quantity Survey with a contingency margin for incomplete details and performing Value Engineering to suggest cost-effective alternatives.
The study also focuses on Risk Assessment to cover design gaps, securing preliminary quotes from suppliers, and establishing an initial Project Schedule that integrates the completion of the remaining design with site mobilization. This ensures a competitive and realistic bid before the final design is frozen.
